Wetlands.edu seeking national accreditation

Wetlands.edu has joined forces with Rural Solutions SA (a Registered  Training Organisation) to seek national accreditation for its training courses.  It is hoped that by early 2008 participants in our courses will be able to use this to gain credit under appropriate other training courses being undertaken through tertiary institutions.

Training modules undergoing peer review

Related to the above, Wetlands.edu is also having all 17 of its modules (see separate page on this site listing these) peer reviewed by suitable experts at present so as to ensure our training materials are of the highest quality.

Results of the Training Needs Assessment (Phase 1):

In late 2005 we distributed a questionnaire designed to help us
understand what are the training priorities, as perceived by the primary
target groups for Wetlands.edu.  A summary of the results, gleaned from
115 replies can be downloaded here as a pdf file.

 Wetlands.edu secures first strategic partner

The Murray-Darling Basin Commission has become the first strategic
partner of Wetlands.edu with the recent decision to support the
development of a training module to address key priorities identified by
the participants in the
Native fish and wetlands in the Murray-
Darling Basin
workshop convened by the MDBC in June 2005.  See above for the first of these training modules being offered. It is expected another will be offered in December 2006.
